| aj with her collar | after a.j. underwent surgery to become an "it," she had to wear a collar that was like a neck brace humans wear. it was a sight to behold. |

| aj with her scraped eye | one day tatum was riding around with a.j. she was tied down inside the car but could still lean out of the truck window. she made a jump at something and fell out of the window and was hanging by her leash on the outside of the car. tatum tried to jerk her back inside only to have the leash snap and a.j. fall out on the side of the road. the only damage was this scrape under her eye. |

| eleven point river canoe trip | after graduation, the guys took a canoe trip on the eleven point river in missouri as one last hurrah. robbie armstrong, scott taylor, chad parker, matt tatum, wade sumrall, eddy addison, and myself made the trip. |

| buffalo river camping trip | over july 4th weekend of 1999, eddy addison, david huey, matt tatum, and myself went on the backpacking trip from hell. we went to the buffalo river in arkansas. we followed directions from the locals and got lost. some got dehydrated; others had severe foot blisters. the trip only lasted two days. |

| california trip | i flew into l.a. and then drove up to lake tahoe to ski. then i made my way back down through yosemite only to see nothing but fog and low clouds. then i visited with a family i stayed with during summer missions. the original reason behind the trip was that i was craving to eat at in n out. |

| creation 97 | creationfest is the largest of all the christian music festivals that take place during the summer. it is held at agape' farms in the middle of pennsylvania. i think in 1997 they estimated around 100,000 people attended. |

| cumberland trail camping trip | scott taylor, wade sumrall, and myself headed off after christmas to spend a few days on the trail. it started snowing on us while we camped at desoto park and snowed most of the entire trip. |

| fall break 97 road trip | after plans fell through, i decided to venture on my own for the break. i drove to nashville and stayed with family. then i drove to lynchburg, va to stay with a friend at liberty university. then i came back and tried camping at the smokies. only the tent i borrowed leaked during the thunderstorm. so i packed up at 2am in the thunder and lightning and drove to a motel for the night. |

| vail, colorado ski trip (driving) | over spring break of 1998, seven of us left clinton and drove to vail. i drove my plymouth acclaim and matt ervin drove his grandmother's buick. matt and i started driving in clinton. outside of dallas, cheese extended a challenge to see who could drive the longest. 22 hours later, matt and i both stepped out of the driver's seat in vail. jason "cheese" holmes, jehu king, brian hannula, matt ervin, thad burkhalter, mark ellis, and myself made the trip to meet up with jonathan anglin and ski. |
